Cores must be returned within 30 days for full core refund and it has to meet all criteria, after that core refund will be at KTW discretion, please contact KTW first for approval (which usually happens). Upon receiving your good core, we will issue a refund within a 2 week period. All cores are subject to inspection upon arrival. Any returned item with physical damage will be result in denial of return credit or refund. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges and original shipping charges are not refundable. The Following are examples of Turbos that will NOT be refunded: Turbochargers: Bent or broken anything except turbine shaft. Bent, broken or damaged housing, Missing or damaged wastegate. Core has to be sent with copy of purchase order, in order to know for which turbo we have to issue the refund, KTW won’t know who returned it, without proper documentation.
If you order has been customized in any way cancelation cost prior to shipping is 20%. If the order is not customized then cancellation is free. If you put a down payment on a group buy or special, the downpayment is non refundable as it’s committed to the group buy production.
If your order has shipped, the return and restocking fee is 20%. Customer must pay for return shipping. Shipping from when the product was sent out is not refunded as that cost has been spent and is unrecoverable. Returns are only allowed for 14 days from post marked day, after that only store credit can be allowed at our discretion, not guaranteed.
Warranty liability is limited to the repair or replacement, at Kott Turbo Works exclusive option, of the unit in question.
Warranty will not be honored in case of damage or malfunction due to improper installation procedure, misuse, neglect, unauthorized disassembly or alteration, or externally induced physical damage. No warranty is made for any claims for special, indirect, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, unit removal or installation, equipment down-time, prospective profits or other economic loss) due to any defect deemed otherwise warrantable by Kott Turbo Works.
Common Causes of Turbo Failure: Related Engine part or engine failure. Example: Broken or worn piston rings, a blown head gasket,
clogged radiator, or a cracked head. Infrequent oil, oil filter, and air filter changes Improper engine maintenance.
Operating engine when out of tune or in need of adjustment or maintenance. Foreign matter and/ or obstructions in the turbocharger
air or oil system. Hot shut-down. Turning the engine off prematurely without allowing sufficient time for the turbo to cool down. The warranty does not cover return shipping. Turbos must be returned in order to be repaired, no exceptions.
The warranty process is as follows. Send KTW a detailed email with pictures to get it approved and get an RMA#. Ship the product back. The product and failure is verified. Root cause of failure is determined, if the root cause was not having to do with manufacturers defect then the repairs won’t be covered under warranty. A detailed email with pictures will be sent to the customer identifying the root cause of the failure. If qualifying for warranty repair, the product is fixed and shipped back or new product is provided as a replacement and shipped back.
The warranty period start from the day the product delivers to you. If a product is fixed or replaced under warranty, the warranty period does not reset.
